Kristina Ruiz
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN
Welcome to KMR Therapy — where heart, science, and purpose meet. I’m a bilingual Registered Mental Health Clinician passionate about helping individuals of all ages heal and grow. I specialize in OCD, anxiety-related disorders, and trauma across the lifespan, offering evidence-based therapy that’s personalized, compassionate, and grounded in real results.
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a teen facing big emotions, or an adult feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you. I offer virtual therapy services throughout the entire state of Florida, making support accessible no matter where you are.
It takes courage to reach out for support, and finding a therapist you feel connected and safe with is so important. That’s why I always offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call, where we can get to know each other and see if we’re the right fit.
My Approach
We start with a thoughtful evaluation, creating a safe space to understand your unique experiences and goals. This foundation helps us tailor a personalized approach to support your growth and healing.
My approach to therapy is relational; through the therapeutic relationship, we can explore how to deepen your connection with yourself, and how to find meaning in your relationships with others.
In our work together, we can navigate difficult thoughts and emotions, discover your inner strengths, and build strategies for growth and healing.

Education and Experience
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling Psychology from Florida International University.
I’ve had the privilege of working in various settings, including private practice, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient centers.
Additionally, I have attended workshops and completed trainings in the following areas:
